Our Daily Manna (ODM) led by renowned cleric and publisher Bishop Chris Kwakpovwe, has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian service, feeding thousands of people in Lagos and providing free medical outreach during its October Anointing Service held on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The event, which marked the return of ODM’s monthly anointing service to full-scale operations in Lagos, attracted a large gathering of worshippers, beneficiaries and members of the public who participated in a day of spiritual upliftment, charitable giving and community support.
Beyond the prayers, worship and anointing sessions, one of the major highlights of the gathering was the ODM Food Bank initiative, through which thousands of people received free meals, reinforcing the ministry’s longstanding commitment to addressing hunger and supporting vulnerable members of society.
The initiative mirrors a similar humanitarian outreach previously undertaken by ODM in London, where the ministry extended its charitable activities beyond Nigeria, demonstrating that its mission of spreading love, compassion and practical support transcends geographical boundaries.
Under the leadership of Bishop Chris Kwakpovwe, ODM has continued to position itself as more than a religious ministry, combining spiritual nourishment with practical interventions aimed at improving the lives of people, particularly those facing economic hardship.
At a time when many Nigerian households are grappling with the rising cost of living, the October Anointing Service provided much-needed relief to beneficiaries, highlighting the importance of faith-based organisations in complementing efforts to address social and economic challenges.
Another significant feature of the event was the medical outreach, which offered healthcare support to people in need. The initiative formed part of ODM’s broader humanitarian programme, recognising that access to basic healthcare remains a pressing concern for many Nigerians.
The combination of the food bank and medical outreach added a strong humanitarian dimension to the October gathering, transforming the monthly religious event into an avenue for community impact and social intervention.
The October Anointing Service was also marked by powerful group prayer sessions, inspiring testimonies of divine healing and prophetic declarations that resonated deeply with worshippers. Several individuals who received personal prophetic messages reportedly confirmed their accuracy on the spot, creating moments of excitement, thanksgiving and renewed faith among the congregation.
The successful return of the monthly anointing service at full scale in Lagos also signals a renewed phase of activities for ODM, with the ministry bringing together its spiritual programmes and charitable initiatives under one platform.
With the October edition recording significant participation and thousands benefiting from its food distribution programme, ODM continues to demonstrate how religious organisations can play meaningful roles in tackling hunger, supporting healthcare access and promoting community welfare.
As the monthly anointing services continue, the October gathering stands out as a celebration of faith, generosity and humanity, reaffirming ODM’s commitment to touching lives through both spiritual and practical interventions.
