Following the success of its sold-out debut, Nigerian-born, Italy-based musician Charles Onyeabor is set to return to Hard Rock Cafe, Florence, Italy, for the highly anticipated second edition of his headline concert, “The Charles Onyeabor Show” on Saturday 3rd October, 2026.
The return to Florence comes at an exciting point in Onyeabor’s career. Fresh from the release of his new album ‘Legacy Continua’, the son of legendary Afro-funk pioneer William Onyeabor will take fans through an extensive catalogue of music, combining new records with some of the songs that have defined his journey so far. For an artist whose reputation as an energetic live performer continues to grow across Europe, the second edition promises another night built around music, culture and an unmistakable Afrobeat atmosphere.
Last year’s inaugural edition at the same venue was a sold-out affair that brought together fans and entertainers from different parts of Europe. This time, Charles is raising the stakes with an even broader supporting cast featuring Danypreez, Phayrow Dealz, Emmiboy, Queen Berly, Big Wailz, Lil Madd, Young Game, superstar Italian-born Nigerian musician Tommy Kuti, and rapper Vas Angelov.
Also making a much-anticipated return is legendary Afrobeats MC and media personality Adesope Olajide, popularly known as Shopsydoo. Following his memorable appearance at the first edition, Shopsydoo returns to Italy by popular demand to once again bring his trademark energy and crowd connection to the show. DJ Stephy, DJ Fizzy and DJ Simpo will control the decks, keeping the energy high throughout the night.
For Charles Onyeabor, the second edition represents more than simply staging another concert. It is another marker in a journey that has seen him steadily build his own identity while carrying one of African music’s most distinctive surnames. From performances across Europe to collaborations, international media attention and an expanding body of work, Charles has continued to push the boundaries of his career while keeping his Nigerian heritage firmly at the centre of his music.
“The first Charles Onyeabor Show was special because people came from different places and cultures to celebrate the music with us. This second edition is about taking that experience to another level,” Charles says. “I have a new album, more music and an incredible lineup of artists joining me. Florence showed us so much love last time, and this year we are coming back with even more energy. We are going to give the people a night to remember.”
